Our Impact
Since 2022, TIP has quadrupled the number of initiatives supported, creating nearly 200 new school based positions through those initiatives and directly serving more than 70,000 students to give them equitable access to great teaching and pathways to post-secondary success.
Our compelling focus has enabled us to secure over $35 million in multi-year funding. Through our collective work we continue to serve more than 40% of the traditional public school students in the state.

Launched in the TIP incubator with an $8M start-up grant and created an award winning model to accelerate student access to hi-tech career pathways across 17 member districts that is now being implemented statewide.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is the second-largest district in the state, and the 16th in the country—184 schools is a lot to manage. The TIP community has been absolutely fantastic. It has meant a lot to me as a first-year superintendent. There are other first-year superintendents in our group, so being able to swap stories. It doesn’t matter what the size is, we’re still experiencing similar things. To be able to come together to problem-solve, to think more broadly, and also,really just to center us into why we are in this business in the first place. TIP centers things back to what we can do to really impact change for our students.
